ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION in LIFE OF A D.O.M. WIDOWER LIVING ON THE NJ SHORE

One of our strongest urges is to second guess. So the Meteorologists; governors and emergency management teams missed the mark and went what was beyond necessary to protect the general public and overreacted. So cut them a break.

Imagine what would have resulted if none of the above made a decision to mitigate the dangers posed by the potential of the storm. Second guessers would have been in second heaven if there had been a massive loss of life and property due to the storm and the failure of those in a position of power and responsibility who had not made a decision. I have learned over the years to make a decision, popular or not , and to live with the consequences.

I am not a fan of my Governor, Christie, but in this case he did exactly as needed and acted on the best case information at his hand. That was leadership.

I had two visitors due to my house today. One the House Cleaner and the other the Project Manager for the House Raising Grant and neither showed but did reschedule. I waited until about noon and then dug out my car so that I can use it when needed. I prepared a chicken dinner and discarded it when my nose detected a hint of spoilage. I made drop biscuits. My younger boy visited to see if I needed any help in freeing my car. I received word that the Tuesday evening meeting I like for Tuesdays had been cancelled. I posted 5 photos on my Facebook of the block and the snow.

Good day.. thanks Governors three.
