Hello all! Wow, 2 weeks since I have written in here. Life is definitely busy these days! I sold those Valentine Jamberry wraps I was selling in my last entry plus lots more since that’s the most popular wrap right now :) My parties have been going well and I have saved lots of money for the trip. Yay! I also earned 10 free sets of Jamberry last month. Yes, completely free. Oh wait, I did have to pay $5 shipping lol. I generally keep a couple and sell the rest. But 8 at almost $20 each is a nice chunk of change on top of my regular commission and bonuses.
Anyways, we leave for our trip to Florida in 10 days! Woo hoo! Can’t wait! Oh that reminds me, I randomly got a 20% off coupon for Great Wolf Lodge (awesome kid friendly hotel with a full water park in it) and we have never been but always wanted to go so we decided to go for one night on a whim lol. MIL wanted to go too so we split the cost of the hotel room with her ($200 total which included water park tickets for the day of arrival and check out). We went mid week last Tuesday night so I wouldn’t have to take any time off work.
We hadn’t been to a water park in forever so it was a lot of fun and a nice break from our normal routine. We arrived around 1pm since that’s when you’re allowed to start swimming on check in day. We got our room, changed and headed for the water park. Cody was soooo excited lol. Miles wasn’t a big fan of the water right from the beginning. He whined and pouted as I held him. Cody was all over the place, checking it all out. Cody loved the wave pool and playing basketball in the kiddie pool which was only up to his waist. We took turns watching the kids and going on some of the big slides. I took Miles to the room for some milk and a snack at one point. I was pleasantly surprised to discover a warm whirlpool which Miles really loved and which was really relaxing.
We stopped swimming and got dressed at around 6pm and just went to the buffet in the lobby to eat. It was delicious (I had spare ribs, caesar salad and potato salad) but we were sitting there eating thinking wow didn’t even check the price before we started eating. Duh lol. It was $23 a person. Yikes! Oh well lol. You know what my kids ate? Croutons lol. They were so tired from swimming that they sat there in a daze barely eating. What can you do, right? After dinner we took the kids to story time in the lobby. They have animatronic animals and a tree and lights and stuff. It was cute but a million people were there and it was hard to hear what was going on and my kids were basically lying on us, totally pooped and not caring about any of it. So we left early and all went to bed for the night at 8:30pm lol. I had worked the night before and only got 4 hours of sleep so I was fine to sleep. Mike, on the other hand, was like seriously? We are going to bed at 8:30? Haha.
The next morning we went for a yummy pancake breakfast at Ihop. Cody did the awesomely annoying kid thing where he took two bites of pancake, said his tummy was full and then he told me was starving as I was buckling him in the car. Seriously, kid?! Lol. Good thing I had a purse full of healthy snacks. We stayed and swam until around 4:30pm that day. Mike and I got to go on a bunch of water slides by ourselves which was awesome. One of them was really fast like a roller coaster. I screamed until my throat was raw lol. It was great :) The kids fell asleep the second we got in the car to leave of course lol. So yeah, it was a great trip. We will definitely go back. Probably for 2 nights next time.
I have 8 days until my diet bets are over and about 3ish pounds to lose still. Shit! Lol. I decided to do a 3 day diet to try and drop a few pounds quickly because I refuse to lose my money lol. It’s called The Military diet if you’re curious. I have to eat some food I am not used to eating (you eat exactly what it tells you to) but a friend said it worked for her so why not? I don’t usually do this sort of thing but it will be interesting :) Today is day 1 and breakfast was 1/2 grapefruit (ew), a coffee and a piece of toast with peanut butter. Lunch is coffee, toast and some tuna I think. Wish me luck! Lol. Not snacking is going to be the hardest part for me. I think I will just chug water when I am hungry. Like now lol.
