Welcome to an entry of nothingness.

Not the least bit exciting really.
I got over the head cold “thing” I had last week, in fact I went back to work on friday so only missed 2 days. Weekend was fairly busy saturday doing more stuff in the kitchen, in the house, in the garage, shopping, all the real mundane family kinda stuff.
Sunday was the best of the weekend. Sun was out, it was dry but a little chilly. No matter. I got kitted up and off I went on the bike! Longest run out I’ve had so far, a nice little 80 mile run in two halves. I headed up to Newark (Nottinghamshire, not NY!) as there was an auto jumble there. Dawn was worried in case I bought an old bike I could refurbish! But she was safe as I didn’t find anything I thought was worth doing. I’d like something that needs a little fettling but not too much. The ones there were either perfect and a lot of money or a heap of crap needing FULL restoration with several parts missing. Cheap enough, but too much work.
By the time I got back my bum was feeling the effects of the ride. This is not good. I bought the Triumph “Long-Haul” seat set-up as I intend to go to Germany later this year on it, but I certainly couldn’t do it on this present seat. I do have a spare one that I am going to have customised with memory foam and gel inserts that I have seen reports of are extremely comfortable. Prices are very reasonable too.

We had Honey, the Lhasa, groomed yesterday. She needed it, she was getting scruffy. As temperatures were seeming to get better we had her cut a little shorter this time. Of course, today the cold temperatures have come back and she was shivering bless her. So out we went to the local pet shop and bought her a jumper! LOL It’s a little fleecy one and they only had blue, but we have got another one on order more her colour! She’s not shivering so much now!

With all the miles I do for my job (58,000 in 2 years) it’s inevitable that I’ll get stone chips and so I have..on my windscreen! So got the Autoglass people coming out tomorrow to repair it. Handy, cos it means I have a day at home to catch up on admin stuff. I have 2 training appointments to put onto our database system. The first was from tuesday night. The patient didn’t want to miss out work as her employers don’t know of her illness yet so I had to go to see her at 4.30 pm. Normally I wouldn’t worry about this, but she lives 125 miles/2 1/2 hours away. So by the time I’d done the training and travelled back I didn’t get home until 8.30pm! Not ideal but this is really unusual so I let it slip, and I can always get the time back. We normally go back after 31 days to do a face-to-face appointment, but I have managed to talk her into a Facetime one over the cellphones, unless I have other appointments in the area.

Well, this is all you’re gonna get today. Told you its been un-exciting around here recently!.

Hope all my US buddies who are having a few snow issues are safe.

Hugz All
