I’m excited to get our 2 Natureboxes this week, especially since I only paid the discounted price of $17 for one of them lol. Also, once I saw it shipped, I went to cancel my membership because as I said before $27 a month is expensive but to keep me they offered me 2 months at 50% off so I decided to stay a bit longer. I just cancelled my $14.99/month Next Issue subscription anyways. I will just have to make a note on my calendar to cancel after those two months. I skipped next month since we will likely be away when it gets here.
That’s right!! We only have a month-30 DAYS- until our family trip to Florida!! I cannot wait!! We’re driving to Buffalo, NY the night before and staying at a hotel and then departing from the Buffalo airport super early the next morning and flying to Orlando. I’m sure it’s going to be great fun waking the kids up around 5am to get ready for our flight. facepalm I don’t even know how we’re going to manage in the airport with 2 kids, a double stroller, a car seat, 3 suitcases, 2 carry-ons and my purse. That should be interesting! But I’m sure we’ll figure it out. My parents live very close to Orlando so they will meet us at the airport where we’re renting a car. They have the other car seat for us since we didn’t want to have to bring two. And then we’re staying with them for 10 days!! It’s going to be cramped but wonderful and we are going to be out of the house most of the time so it’s not a big deal.
I know at 3.5 and 1.5 my kids are young for Disneyworld and all that kind of stuff but as I mentioned before Mike and I LOVE Florida so much and we haven’t been in 3 years and we are dying to go so this year when my parents offered to pay for half of our flight we started saving up and agreed to go. We are going to the 4 Disney parks with the kids and one of those days will be 1/2 a day at Epcot and the other 1/2 as an extra day at Magic Kingdom since that’s the best kid park and there are sooooo many rides Cody can go on. We aren’t a big fan of the World Showcase part of Disney anyways. It’s cool to look at and walk around and perhaps have a crepe in the French section (they’re soooooo yummy) and Fish and Chips in the British section (love them) and take some pictures but we prefer rides :)
We are also doing a day at Seaworld, a day at Busch Gardens and Mike and I are spending a day at Universal Studios all by ourselves while my parents take the kids to Legoland. While I can’t wait to see the excitement on Cody’s face from going to Magic Kingdom, I also am super pumped for the day we get to spend without kids at Universal. No kids, no strollers, no diaper bags with a million snacks, diapers, wipes, sippy cups, extra clothes as well as an insane amount of other things to drag around. I am just hoping the kids have fun and the weather is great and we get to go on most of what we’d like to. It’s really hard to decide what Cody might or might not like though in terms of rides. Like, yes, I realize he will like most of the rides in Magic Kingdom but what about rides where I know there’s a part that is in the dark or stuff like Fireworks at night which are awesome but he might not like because he hates things that are too loud. We will also make sure we take them to at least one parade but once again, Cody’s ears are sensitive and he might just cover them. The funny thing about that is that Miles LOVES anything loud so I bet he’d be thrilled to see the parade lol.
I’ve been busy with lots of preparations for the trip. We got the kids passports yesterday, I’ve been reading lots about the parks and little things to remember, I need to buy some insulated thermos cups for the kids, I want to make sure we all have ponchos just in case, I want to make a list of what we’re going to buy in terms of snacks to have on hand when we get there, I still need to buy some glasses before we go (right now I only have contacts), we are buying tickets for the parks soon and the list goes on and on.
I’m doing as many Jamberry parties this month as I can handle to make extra money for our trip and to keep my business running smoothly. It’s going great! I have 5 Facebook parties booked (2 of which are over already) and I actually got a booking for my very first HOME party last night which will be next Tuesday. That sort of freaks me out because I am an introvert and definitely wouldn’t want to do home parties all the time but I am willing to try it out and see how it goes. I’m betting I will be quite nervous but what’s 2 hours of being somewhat uncomfortable when I will be making money? One of my Jamberry recruits ONLY does home parties and she’s been doing really well. I definitely wouldn’t mind doing one a month but I wouldn’t want to do them exclusively. So I have a lot of quick learning to do this week for my party. It’s only a 10 minute drive away which is nice :)
