Another week gone. Dawn has finished off painting the kitchen walls so they are all white again. One trick we missed when we had the kitchen dons was the light fitting. It is so dated that it spoils the look so I ordered one off line and the electrician is coming on tuesday to fit it, a nice chrome square rose with 4 spotlights attached. It will set it off perfectly.

It’s been bloody cold here this week so I haven’t managed to get out on the bike. She’s tucked up in the garage with the trickle-charger attached to keep the battery topped up. We’ve got rid of the old chest freezer we had in there now that we have the big Yank Tank! I also rearranged some stuff in there, by moving my bike clothing rack and toolbox and there is so much room in there now, its untrue! Enough room for another bike! LOL I’ve still got my tourer, the Triumph Trophy 1200, but that is in the dealers at the moment. They’ve been trying to sell it for me, but no luck as yet. I might just pick it up and put it back in my garage. I’m also trying to convince Dawn to let me buy an old ’76 Suzuki GT250. It needs a fair bit of work to get it sorted, but it was the type of bike I first owned so I’d love to get it. I guess we’ll see!

This week we’ve got to get hold of our mechanic friend to see if he can finish off Lee’s Mustang. It needs a diff. seal as there’s a slight leak. It’s been stood for so long the thing has probably gone hard and perished. But looking on line there are 2 or 3 different sizes so he needs to pull the old one out so we can see which one to get. I’m hoping that when it’s up and running properly again Lee will sell it, because he has just left it on the drive and done nothing with it for so long, and there is a hell of a lot of money in that car that he could do with right now. But true to form he just sits on his ass and expects us to do everything for him. I can sort of understand it, cos when he tries to do things for himself he usually ends up screwing up!! Bless him!

Paula is getting a new suite (we had one just before Christmas!) , she seems to follow what we do a lot. Sincerest form of flattery? Who knows! Anyway, yesterday she came to borrow the cushions from our conservatory suite so they had something to sit on tonight as the old one was collected today and the new one is being delivered tomorrow. Trouble is when we get them back we’re gonna have to wash all the covers because their dogs will have been on them too, and Honey, our Lhasa, gets pretty antsy when she can smell Millie, their 6 month old Spaniel! Whether it’s another female thing, or what I din’t know. She just doesn’t seem happy with her smell and when they meet she just keeps well out of the way, even though Millie wants to be friends.

Well. I think that’s all for this report. Maybe not as often as I used to in OD, but at least so far, it’s better than previously on here! Take care, Folks.
