There may be some TMI later in this entry, just to warn you now.

Breakfast:

We’ve got a fried egg, a couple strawberries, a few blackberries, some zucchini because I felt guilty about the lack of veggies on the plate, and an egg baked in an avocado. Obviously I used a whole egg and didn’t do anything else in that recipe because I didn’t have anything else the recipe called for, but some day I’d like to try out the whole thing. (Also, why do things never turn out like the pictures?!)

Lunch: I threw some ground beef into my cauliflower soup and had a pretty simple side salad…just lettuce, mango salsa, and dressing. And a random spoonful of cashew butter because I didn’t know how else to add fat to this meal. I really need to get some olives or something. I keep struggling with the fat thing. I guess I could also grab some wholly guacamole. shrug

Dinner is going to be leftover chicken and probably broccoli. I might try to find another veggie to throw in there, but who knows. Simple.

The TMI stuff (spoiler: it’s about poo):

I’ve been really constipated this week. :( The book says digestive issues are common week 2 because excess sugar eating gut bacteria is dying off, the intestinal lining is healing itself, and you’re losing excess intestinal mucous (intestinal mucous is not something I ever wanted to think about…) but honestly all that meant I was expecting things to go the other way. I finally broke out my secret weapon this morning: dunkin donuts coffee (also, I successfully managed a dunkin donuts trip without any donuts. Never thought that would happen!) and it’s helping a little bit. I think I might hit up the forum and see if it’s the way I’m eating or if I just need to ride it out. I might not be getting enough water, but even on low water intake I don’t usually have this problem. Here’s hoping everything gets moving again.
