Following the new year holiday Doris and I managed to go to dinner and a movie Friday evening. We wanted to see the Gambler but it was sold our. Instead we saw Big Eyes and film that blindsided me with it’s power. I loved it and Doris and I even had a discussion later on of our respective mothers having prints of her work. It was a thoroughly entertaining movie and the ending was fantastic. Doris and I are going Friday evening through Sunday evening for a weekend vacation in the Brandywine Valley in Pa. and are planning to see the Chads Ford Museum and the Longwood
Gardens holiday show.

I took a drive to Asbury Park Sunday morning and took photos on a beached Cabin Cruiser. The boat was a total wreck with large holes and graffiti on the starboard side of the boat to the effect the boat will be missed. The boat has a valid NY registration sticker making me think it might have escaped from its mooring as a result of Hurricane Sandy. The papers are playing it up as a recently discovered boat but I think it has been there a while and also that it had to be towed up onto the beach as it is resting quite high. The photos are posted on my Facebook page, Thomas Scriven for anyone interested. I feel the newspapers just had a bad news period because any investigator who really wanted to identify the ownership of the boat has enough info on the side to use.

Tomorrow I have a final Meeting to finalize my House Raising Grant. Once the amount of money is negotiated
then I can begin hiring the Contractors. It has been a long and stressful period filled with frustration, delays and bad information. To say that I have my fingers crossed
would be an understatement.

John, my missing in action AA sponcee called me yesterday after being unavailable Saturday. I informed him that he will meet me tonight and go to a meeting and he will come to my house Wednesday evening early for instruction. I had talked this over with my sponsor and we agreed it was time to have a ” Come to Jesus ” meeting. I hope this tack will work.
