In the beginning, god created the heavens and the earth. And then he created trees and grass and flowers and fruits and all the creatures that fly and all the fish that swim and all the creatures that walk about and slither upon the face of the planet.
Then, because he needed witness's, god created man. Not A man, but man as in mankind. Then god said,;
"I have given you everything you see to eat, except for the fruit of that tree right over there. That tree is a no no. the fruit that it bears with make you aware of all the good and bad things in the world as well as your naughty parts. So no touchy. This is the only rule here."
Morning and evening, the next day it all went tits up.
And so it was that after they got called out for breaking gods only rule, Adam and Eve were kicked out of Eden had kids and then had a kid and then god marked him and made him leave his second home to go live the people who live in the city of Nod.
God then gave us a list of rules. We call them commandments and we only observe 10 of them, even though the entire book of Leviticus is every rule god gave to us.
And god said;
"Here's the rules. Follow the rules, be good people and you will be rewarded."
Then everything really went tits up.
everyone began to worship all the other gods, having sex with angels and small barnyard animal.They worshiped cows and birds and dogs, but not the real god, not the one who made everything.
Cavorting and unhealthy practices were piling up until god had enough and washed the planet clean to start again. Same rules, same expectations, just not so much involvement this time around with the development of mankind.
And so it was that mankind was left to his own devices and god saw that it was a mistake. Several times he told man to straighten up but no one listened so he sent to earth plagues of biblical proportions. He nuked cities and all sorts of really not nice nastiness until he realized that there was only one thing he could do.
in order to save this tiny spinning ball of mud and rock, in order to save his life's work, he would have to murder his son. God loved us more than his son and thats kinda messed up, but yes, killed his son to wash away all of our sin. and his sons message?
"Be nice to each other."
So god said screw it.
They have my rules,
they know how to behave,
now its time to see just how many of them are up to the task.
And so it was that god walked away.
This is where mankind begins. No one to hold their hand and lead them down the right path. No one to remind them how special each and every individual actually is, no plan...
Humanity has walked circles around the globe all these years. The globe has spun around the star and the star keeps pushing on in a circle in a space so large your head would burst open if you were able to understand just how vast it is. And we still make the same mistakes as every other generation. We kill, hate, steal, adulterate, envy, covet and the list goes on.
When bad things happen we blame god for it. We need to have a whipping boy to blame for things that even out of his control. After all he did give us the rules to live by, so it is his fault f we don't obey them.
And in our hubris, in the name of science and all things human, we created life. The first soulless children of man and wit or track history, is it any wonder that our children wanted to cleanse the planet of the spirit of man?
