Well, what a great start to the week.
Kitchen fitters where here at 0830 monday. By just after midday we were without a kitchen! Everything was taken out. We had to use the utility room to get a cuppa and ended up having fish and chips from the shop for dinner.
I had two appointments but managed to get back by 16.15, so not too bad a day.
Today I was working at home, catching up on phone calls and “paperwork”, so it was a real laid back day.
And to top it all we have a working kitchen back! Not everything is in place but over 50% is there, with sink/oven/hob working. These guys are really good. We’ve still got the fridge/freezer, extractor and more cupboards to go in, but we could make some eats if we wanted to.
I have taken photos of the whole process and will post them in a later entry.
In actual fact we’re going to Paula’s for dinner as she is 32 today so we’re having a Chinese take out to celebrate at their house. Means we get to spend time with the grandsprogs as well so that’s always fun!
Tomorrow I have an appointment to train a few care workers how to use the injection device I support. That’s always eventful!
Weather over this side of the pond is very cool, breezy, a bit damp, but bearable and not as bad as some in other countries! I feel for the people who are having heavy snow as well as others in Oz who are fighting forest fires. Talk about ends of the spectrum!
Whatever your weather I hope you all stay safe.
