Allow me to explain further:
This is not a pop-up ad. It’s a pop-up that says “Looks like you’re using an ad blocker. We rely on advertising to keep this community running” and a button that says “Allow Ads”.
It pops up at the following moments:
-When i start typing my UN to sign in
-when i start typing my PW to sign in
-when i hit the landing page after signing in
-when i try to navigate anywhere on the landing page
-when i click my favorites
-when i click my comments
-when i initiate a new entry
-when i try to save a new entry
-after i save a new entry
-when i return to the home page after writing an entry
Again… no hate, I get it. And, it’s not fair because previous iterations of PB and OD have made me wary of subscribing. This is why I said it’s not so much a choice of allowing ads or not, because I don’t have control over that. So it becomes a question of: is it worth coming here to read and write knowing the experience is going to be frustrating and annoying because of something outside my control?
So far the answer is yes… and I feel like if I was able to handle the aggressive pop-ups of OD times, and the annoying bots filling PB with nonsense, maybe I can deal with this a few times a week…

Hey mods or whomever needs to hear this: I get it. I’d love to ditch the Ad Blocker, I really would. I’m accessing this from my work computer, the only computer I use nowadays, and work says Ad Blocker, so we Ad Blocker.
Not sure an aggressive pop-up over and over is the solution here, but I get it.
Unfortunately, it’s going to be a choice between using PB or not using it… not Ad Block vs no Ad Block.
