In N J on the toll road known as the Garden State Parkway at exit 135 is marked as CLARK/WESTFIELD. This the exit I use when visiting my oldest boy Tom's house. I was there on Christmas eve for a visit with his family; friends and cats. On Christmas day the news broke the story of how someone had vandalized the sign and changed it to read CLARK GRISWALD and it served to brighten the smiles on a good portion of the state. Very topical
Yesterday the families gathered at my son Rob’s housie and his two daughters were there. Kelly the oldest had her fiancé with her and it is unusual when they get the same shifts off but some horse trading went on and both of them were there. We exchanged gifts and had a fantastic dinner.
A new holiday legend began yesterday. The future husband, Dave was given a gift of a small drone. He too it outside to fly it and take some photos. It rode straight up but then headed directly at a large tree.Since this was the first flight Dave over-corrected and it started flying off to the right and rapidly gained altitude. It was heading towards the Atlantic Ocean. several blocks East. Dave cut the power but it was very windy. It kept going up and higher and cleared a row of houses and has never ben seen again. Luckily it is unarmed.
This story will be repeated every year I an sure and will grow with embellishments.
