Happy Sunday!
I’m up.
I’ve already been out. You can’t have coffee without creamer. Well, I can’t.
I got the bedroom clean, bedding in the dryer, another load going, living room picked up.
I’m actually doing it!
And then…..
My basement stairs are sketchy at best. Dana refuses to go down them. I don’t blame him. At 6’8 and 300 pounds I wouldn’t either.
I, however, have to go down there to do laundry.
It’s been ok since I have had the stroke because I have a rail I could cling to while I got stronger. The rail was a little loose but attached to the wall.
Just a few minutes ago I went to switch the laundry, full basket in tow. River stood at the door, whining, which I thought was strange because she always goes with me to switch laundry. The basement or stairs has never bothered her.
I have to do this dance now where I put the basket two steps down and go down three, rinse and repeat. I was talking to her, while she’s whining, and went to take my first step.
The rail broke away from the wall! River jumped back and started growling at the wall. Luckily I didn’t fall down the stairs, I was relaying on that rail quite a bit. I just scraped and bruised my elbow a bit.
Riv was still growling and REFUSED to go down in the basement.
Sorry ghosties but I can’t afford to move right now. You might want to scoot over cause Nin is staying.
Besides, I love this house too much. Except for a few things like the basement, counter space, a the thing the toilet is doing. It’s not PLUGGED but… I don’t know…slow to flush.
I also think the bats are back and they had babies. I heard them in the walls the other night.
Still playing with the idea of rearranging my living room today. I told Dana I wanted to and he asked why. I told him just for something different. He replied with “oh”. Oh, not you, babe, never you. Haha.
My elbow stings.
