Todays the day my parents come to town. Should be interesting. I talked to my mom last night on the phone, and she didnt sound very well. Im worried about her. Shes overweight and asthmatic and generally just not in good health. I talked to my dad briefly, and I could hear the concern in his voice. I hope she can handle all of the excitement. Did I tell you that theyre driving here with their two cats in tow? Its gonna be chaos at my place for the next few days.
Talked to Best Bud this morning on the way to work. She is in her usual spaz mode. Ill be picking her and Rob (her husband) up tomorrow morning. I cant wait to see them. I just hope that I dont slip up somehow and let the cat out of the bag about all of her lovers all over the world. We both had to review some of our taboo subjects this morning, and we both agreed to do our best when talking in front of her husband and my parents! She also noted that as long as Dr. P. is on the wagon, hell be fine. Now. We dont know if hes currently ON the wagon or not. Thats TBD.
I have a feeling that this Thanksgiving is going to be completely touch and go.
Talked briefly with MM last night. Poor thing. His car broke down (again), so he was waiting for a friend to pick him up. Ive decided that hes definitely one of those people that walk around with a black cloud following wherever they go. Its just one thing after another. I feel for him. But I dont want to take on the project. Not that Ive been given that option anyway. But still.
Hes planning on coming to the party.
Sos Secret Agent Guy. The last time he was at my apartment we were both skunky drunk and getting down and dirty on my couch and then in the bedroom. And the last two times Ive seen him out and about hes gotten drunk and sentimental telling me all the different ways hed like to ravish me. Never mind the drunken phone calls. I dont think he remembers a word of any of these conversations, but Im praying that he doesnt have a relapse tomorrow night.
Not sure yet who else is definitely planning on coming. My next door neighbor is also having people over, so well probably meld a little bit. Probably some of the girls that I occasionally hang with, and [Parliament] has threatened to show. It could be fairly eventful .possibly even entry-worthy!
Still have last-minute stuff to do: grocery, liquor store, a little light dusting and sweeping. Other than that Im set.
