I’m back from my Thanksgiving trip already! I left on Monday morning, and made my way back yesterday. It was a quiet, laid back time, and I though I really didn’t accomplish anything (was I supposed to?), I think the relaxation was needed.

So. The big, big news is Dad’s health. When the parentals met me at the spot we’d agreed on (we thought shopping would take our minds off of the white elephant in the room), my dad was in terrible, awful shape. Bracing for the worst. The results still weren’t in yet, and I think we were all sure about the Big C.

Eh. I don’t feel like dragging it out…I felt like it was drug out long enough in real life. Bottom line, the gigantic polyp that they plucked from my dad was benign. Relief. Beautiful relief.

Amazing how a test result can completely change everyone’s attitude, isn’t it? It was a wonderful Thanksgiving after all. Especially when my dad cracked up at my mother’s prayer of thanks at the dinner table.

Still, we never did find out about why my dad was in such pain after the colonoscopy or why he stopped breathing during the procedure. Does it matter anymore? I hope not.

Hung out with Lovely on Monday night. I thought she and I would be able to kick things up a notch, but honestly, it was Monday night. Who knew that sushi place was closed on Monday night anyway? Ended up at Dragonfly, which is always an interesting time.

Unfortunately, the only interesting thing that happened was finding out that the $30 prawn appetizer was smushy and gross, so we only ate our soup and drank our whatevers (she had some kind of sugary martini and I had a goblet o’ wine).

Spent the night at Lovely’s so I wouldn’t have to drive the extra hour to my parents’. Funny, it took 45 minutes to get to her place in the ‘burbs. Crazy Ray is still sleeping on her couch on the nights she doesn’t have her daughter. And Lovely is also back with her ex-boyfriend. Some things never, ever change, do they?

Hello.

I got nothing else at the moment.
