Sources from everywhere are telling me to meditate. I have to give [AM] credit because she was the very first to say it when I asked how I can be more kind to myself, but I swear, the call to meditate is overwhelming.

I talked to The Therapizer (TT) last night. I told him everything: the breakthrough and the sense of relief that came with it (but the stress of not finishing The Letter to The Unborn); the alcohol and the…shit that comes with it; my control issues; my fear issues; my general malaise.

And he gave me a prescription. To meditate. And basically he said, use it or not…it’s up to you…but I really think it will help you to relax and center and feel better about things. He burned a CD for me, which I haven’t listened to yet, but just sync’d it to my ipod. And he printed out some instructions, which I haven’t read yet. And gave me some suggestions to try, which (of course!) I haven’t done yet.

Because I don’t quite know how to start yet.

But then look at my horoscope today!

Your traditional planetary ruler Mars is energizing your 9th House of Travel and Education for the rest of this year, motivating you to get up and go somewhere for fun or to learn something new. Enrolling in a course can lift you out of a current rut, but this isn’t just about improving a technical skill. Use this time to develop your intuition through meditation, music or some other form of art.

So hm. I’m looking online for some EASY ways to start practicing meditation. It needs to be easy or I don’t think I’ll ever begin, and then I will feel like I failed yet another assignment!

Must. Think. Positively.

Hey! There really IS a Meditation for Dummies book!

And a Meditation is Easy! website!!

Maybe I can at least try. At this point, I’ll try almost anything!

Oops. Gotta run to a lunch meeting.

OH!! P.S. The cupcakes were a resounding HIT!!!! Deeee-lish!
