I am officially on vacation until the Monday after Thanksgiving!! No travel, no work (well, except for a little side assignment, but that will be fun), and Grrrr will be gone on Monday and Tuesday.
I’m thinking spa day! If I can get in. Not sure how packed the spas are next week. But I’m going to try. Because I never pamper myself like that. Sure, I get my nails done, but that’s only to present a professional image when I give presentations, etc., but I can’t remember the last time I had a massage and I’ve NEVER had a facial (although I’m not sure I want one). I’d really like to get a massage. And a hair cut. Oh yeah…I need one of those!!
Grrr made dinner last night and had candles lit when I got home from work. We made spritzers and we both had one and that was enough. Then we curled up under the covers to watch movies on his laptop because the DVD player might be broken. We laughed and snuggled and fell asleep before the movie was over. I’m guessing we were asleep by 9.
Tonight we’re having a friend’s daughter and her date over. She’s 16. She and her date are going to a concert at a venue on the block where we live, and she wanted to impress her date with her “grown-up” friends! I’m excited to see her…so young yet so grown up! I used to play with her when she was 6!!
Then we have a surprise party to attend! Our neighbor is throwing a surprise party for his girlfriend. She’s turning 50! The most GORGEOUS 50 I’ve ever seen!! I want her secrets!!!!!! I’m really excited about that too, because these are neighbors we just met and I really like them a lot and we want to become “couple friends” with them. We’re storing all the goodies (booze, some food, etc) at our place (danger…Ha!) so that she won’t sniff around.
Tonight will be another test for me. It’s not so hard to stay away completely, but I want to be social. My problem is a threshold issue. Grrrr says he’ll help.
Okay. Off to the gym to work on my fitness!!
