Not really. But it IS Black Friday, and this year (at least this morning), I choose not to participate. Last year I was pretty much finished by this time in the morning. This year I can barely make it out of bed, let alone shop! Feeling punky still with the UTI. I’m hoping to be completely over it today. I hate being sick…especially THIS kind of sick. But I’m trying my damndest to snap out of it.

I’m not really blue either, other than the fact that Thanksgiving is over. It was fairly uneventful, but really nice to see my parents. I didn’t take enough pictures. Grrrr likes to send photos to his kids so they can see what things are like here (since they don’t celebrate Thanksgiving–yet).

We watched a little bit of the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade, and I could see the look of longing in Grrrr’s eyes. There are so many things he wants to do with the kids while they are still young. I hope we manage to do a few. It’s so hard with them being so far away. We have been talking about doing a camping road trip with them in lieu of a honeymoon. I’m cool with that as long as we do something honeymoon-ish at some point during the year.

So, went to my parent’s place for Thanksgiving. It was really nice and relaxing, and great to be with my parents. I know Grrr wasn’t really looking forward to spending the whole day there, but that’s what we ended up doing. I think he saw how important it was for me to just hang with the folks. So he kicked back on the comfy chair (my dad in the other) and actually watched football! And we all just hung. I talked to my mom about Christmas stuff (we have to have Christmas with them early since Grrrrr and I will be out of the country visiting his kids). Then Grrrrr and I went for a walk, but it was so frigid outside…when did THAT happen? It’s like all of a sudden it’s winter! Came back quickly and ate some more! Made a few phone calls and generally just relaxed. Really nice. REALLY nice.

Then Grrrr drove us home. We were back here by 8:45 and I basically crashed (again!) on the sofa. He woke me at around 11:30 and we simply shifted to the bed. I feel like such a bump!!

But it’s Friday morning and time to start the day. I’m off now to make coffee for my sweetheart so we can get on with our Black, Black Friday.
