Ugh. Today is my first day back in the office since I can remember! What’s it been, like three weeks?

I really need to get on track with work. I think I’ll set up a new calendar system first thing this morning (after checking for meetings, of course..I have no idea how my day is looking yet!).

I am having my morning coffee, about to wake a sleeping TFMS, and then off to start my day. I had my run (4 miles) already and would just like to get back into the habit of writing quick entries in the morning, so here is this morning’s!

The Germany story is going to take a while to get out, I think. But TFMS is leaving on a business trip this afternoon and I may have some time to tap some thoughts and pix out tonight after my therapy session.

What am I going to say in therapy tonight? Well, I guess bottom line is, the trip wasn’t as painful as I had braced for. Everyone was gracious and nice to me. In fact, everyone bent over backwards to make me feel welcome (English was spoken a lot…I think everyone kind of enjoyed translating for me). The kids were precious. And the X was actually sweet and warm (???!!!!).

And what does that say about me and my fears and perceptions?

Much, much more on that later.

Um, let’s see. New Year’s Eve was quiet and not so great. We didn’t want to leave the loft since we’d just gotten home late the night before, so we wanted to have a quiet evening with a few friends. But because we tried to make plans so late, nobody showed (illnesses and other plans). I think we were so weary anyway that we got into a little (read: dumb) issue. TFMS and I had to have a heart-to-heart that left me still questioning in the wee hours of New Year’s Day. But by the end of the day we were both feeling a million times better and more sure of things. My parents came over and we made lunch for them, and that was wonderful. I’m so glad that TFMS likes them a lot. Then we went to the movies and home to bed. Aaah. A nice, mellow New Year’s Day.

So now, off to the races.
