Getting ready this morning for yet another round-the-world trip. I’m actually really excited about this one because I’m not feeling the stress that I was feeling during the last one…the politically charged insane one, the one where I had to hang with the new colleague for about 10 days and then meet up with alllllllll of the obnoxious big wigs for a few drunken dinners in Paris and London.

Nope. The only things I have to worry about on this trip are as follows:

–Getting my reports done and out on a timely basis while traveling

–Gathering/purchasing all of the things that I’ll need for my REALLY BIG MAJOR presentation when we get back (the biggie that I do twice a year)

–Babysitting Boss Party Pants during the day (she is hard to keep track of) and at night (she is drunk)

–Making sure Boss is pleased with my work (this has taken a lot of hard energy and work lately–though I really LOVE her as a boss, she is not a bundle of sunshine…OK, but better than most, really)

–Keeping up with the plane/train/taxi schedule….making sure everyone (including myself!) is on schedule. This is difficult with the amount of cities we travel to on these trips. This time it will be: Paris –> London –> I will take a side trip to a small town in Germany to visit TFMS’s grandmother on her 80th Birthday! –> London –> Rome –> Tokyo –> Home. Yes. I’ll be back March 1st.

That’s really the major stuff. The rest is cake. I hope to update as much as I can along the way. Really looking forward to Rome. I’ve never been there (can’t believe it either!!!) and I’ll be traveling solo for that leg of the trip. I always LOVE it when I get to have a little solo traveling time. It gives me a chance to catch my breath a little (BPP takes so much freaking energy!) before we have to meet back up in frantic Tokyo.

And yes, the grandmother part! I was able to swing (through Boss) being able to take Sunday off to make a mad dash from London to Frankfort and then to a small city via train to see TFMS’s grandmother and then back to London that night. She’s not going to be able to make it to the wedding, and she and TFMS are very, very close. So when I found out it was her birthday, we thought it would be nice if I was able to go say “Guten Tag!” in person. It’s going to be hectic, but I hope it is a nice visit.

OK. Must pack. I’m sure I’ll write much, much more on the plane and while I’m traveling.

OH yes. Regarding the last entry. There is much personal and relationship work/resolution/stuff happening as I type. This is a good thing. TFMS came home Valentine’s night and we had a very good evening, a good talk, etc.

We are still working through couple stuff while I work through my inner struggle stuff. I want to write more. Perhaps on the plane. I know this sounds like a sidebar after practically calling out for help in my last entry, but it’s not (a sidebar, that is). I know I need to devote time and energy on getting this out on the page, and I will.

But I need to pack right now!
