OK. I´m at Manuel Antonio, and it´s an amazing National Park. Our tour has the morning off, so of course I´m logging on at this station. I already went for a walk on the beach, breakfast, and then a hike. Our hotel is at the entrance to the park and they have a ¨trail¨that turned out to be a hard core HIKE.
I´m tired now and have kayaking to go this afternoon! It looks like it might rain this afternoon, and I think that will be good actually…I´m used to the rain by now and it cools everything off. The sun is so unbelievably intense here. I don´t think I´ve ever felt it like this before…and of course, the lily white skin does not take kindly to such intensity.
The group is fine and we´ve grown to accept each other, though I prefer doing things sort of solo. Tomorrow we head back to San Jose. Most people are flying out, but I´m staying an extra night. CN and I agreed to stay an extra night, but now that she´s no longer here I suppose I could leave early, but I am actually looking forward to meeting Anna´s cousin who lives there.
I haven´t really figured much out while I´ve been gone. I´ve cried a bit, knowing that this was the week I was supposed to be on my honeymoon, but I haven´t found a lot of clarity like I wanted to. I´m lonely, for sure. Even in this big group of people. I have opened up a little, but this isn´t group therapy, so what the hell.
I guess I´ll go now and get ready for the kayak adventure. It should be really cool.
Oh and in case you´re curious, I haven´t gotten in ANY trouble on this trip. No drinking binges and late nights. We get up so early every day, and it is such a joy to go to bed at night.
Hope to write more later, but if not, see you on the flip!
