PIC OF THE DAY!

Photo prompt=MUSICAL. This is the opening band for the band that Cindy and I went to see (and love on) at the end of summer. Twas a night of releasing a little pent up aggression.

TODAY…

1. Even though it was weird, I’m glad I took Yoga Man up on his challenge.

2. Thankful for my great long lunch with my fellow council member. Why the hell isn’t this guy single?

3. So thankful for all the laughs today.

4. Thankful for the thoughts about aging/not aging. Kinda long. May expound later.

5. Thankful that after today, the days get longer. C’mon sunshine!

I’m out of coffee (plus the maker’s pretty much dead anyway) and the coffee shop has FREE drip coffee on Monday mornings from 8-9.

So I was down there getting my freebie and ran into Flower Lady and we chatted. She wanted me to send her my photo and bio for our project. Looks like this thing is actually happening!

And then I ran into Yoga Man. He sort of cornered me, but I wasn’t in the mood to run away, so we talked. I noticed he was writing in a book, so I asked him if he was studying. No. Journaling? No, he said it was something bigger. I then asked if he was writing a novel. NO!

So finally he asked me to sit down and just look at some of his book.

It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. A kind of cross between a scrapbook and a journal and a notebook divided into chapters and pictures and amazing illustrations and on and on and on…this thing was just FULL of his life.

I’m a little shocked that he shared it with me, but then again I’m not. He’s always had a little flirty thing for me, but I felt a tad uncomfortable flipping through the pages. It wasn’t really a diary, but I still felt a little like it would have been as if I opened up my computer and asked someone to click through several entries and look and read.

There was a LOT of deeply personal stuff in there and he let me read the prologue or whatever it was, and it did say that it’s not meant for all eyes and that whoever reads it has to be a special person…

And I hate to say this, but I wonder if that part is something of a come-on. You know how gullible I can be.

Regardless, he invited me to his yoga class tonight, and once he described it, I knew that I wanted to go. You know I’ve been missing some of my classes and I’ve been checking out my backview and it SHOWS.

That night I met Chance out for his birthday I met his best friend Jack’s new girlfriend, who is this stunningly beautiful black woman who took one look at me and had me twirl around in front of her because she loved my outfit. THEN, she had me stop when I was turned away from her and announces, “GIIIRRRLL, you got a bootie like a sistah!”

I know. I know! And I would really be so very proud of that bootie if it wasn’t attached to white ol’ ME! Seriously, when my ass gets all bedonkadonk, it gets scary. Not pretty. Maybe sexy in the right light and to the right person, but downright FRIGHTENING when I’m looking at it in a 3-way-mirror while trying on Rodarte for Target.

Bottom line (HAAHH!), I went to yoga class tonight, which is a combination class–cardio, yoga, and deep stretching.

Okay. Did I tell you this already? Have you seen the movie Couples Retreat? You know the yoga instructor? This is the only one I could find, but if you’ve seen it you’ll know what I mean by, “boom.”

Yeah, so some things like this were happening in this class, as I figured they might. Seriously, Yoga Man wanted to touch and move my limbs and get close and touch and touch and adjust my hips. Ugh. AND! He tickled me at one point! I told him that he was tickling me and you know what he said?

“Mmmmm…sensitive. I like that.”

But even through the uncomfortableness it was still a wonderful workout that was so good it brought me to tears when the lights went out. Seriously. I feel so good now.

So good I’m going to end this entry here. I can tell you about the great lunch meeting I had with the guy on my council tomorrow.

Goodnight, lovahs! Bet I sleep really, really well tonight. Sexy dreams, I hope!
