PIC OF THE DAY!
I’m starting the year off like THIS! This is a statue at one of the entrances of Hyde Park in London.
TODAY…
1. Thankful for getting up early this morning and finally going to church (with the exception of Christmas Eve, it’s the first time in about 8 weeks). Really lovely and reflective.
2. I’m taking my Pops to see Willie Nelson for his birthday–thankful there were tix left!
3. Thankful and happy that people are getting back into the swing of things tomorrow–onward!!
4. My project starts on Tuesday! Thankful for that.
5. Still thankful for 2010. Even my fortune cookie today read, “Be prepared to accept a wondrous opportunity in the days ahead!” –yes, with the exclamation point.
Good evening, lovelies!
I had kind of a random day. Since I was home being mellow last night, I fell asleep at around 9:15 while watching TV. I woke at 2 with HBO still on and some kind of horrid movie on about a plane being hijacked or something. I could not muster the energy to get up and turn off the tube, so I let it blare until the movie was over and I fell back to sleep.
Got up and got ready to go to church early enough that I had time to grab a Starbucks and a yogurt and relax a bit. Then church. Haven’t been in forever, and it was good to be there…even if I’m still the single chick who sits in a pew by herself and sometimes cries. No, I didn’t today.
In fact, I was just thinking about that. I haven’t been a crybaby in about three weeks now. Not bad. Let’s see if PMS rares her ugly head this month. Guess I’ll find out in about a week or so. I’m going to make a conscious effort to not be Bluesy Girl this month. I’ll let you know…(you know I will).
Took myself shopping for a little while because I need to stay up to date on certain aspects of what’s going on out there in retail land. But it got depressing because I want to really shop (as in PURCHASE), and I just can’t right now.
I did buy myself the Martha Stewart Weddings 15th Anniversary issue because I’m still working on a wedding presentation that I’ll be giving at the end of the month (the project with my floral studio friend), and I was flipping through the issue and found…my dream dress!! Oh man, at least I still have that hope alive in me–even if I don’t have the groom. Don’t laugh. It’s all good. I’m just a sucker for a beautiful dress.
*sigh*
My quickie January 2010 Horoscope by Susan Miller: In January, the horoscope wheel again turns to new positions. Think of this month as a transitional month that will bring you closer to your two most celebratory, enchanting months of the year, February and March. As a Scorpio, in January and in the months to come, you will increasingly find yourself to be in the right place at the right time. The coming year will not be just any old rerun of last year – it will have an entirely new look and feel, and in so many ways, as the planets will be in ideal positions to help you.
Not too shabby. Seriously, despite the tiny bumps, I remain positively,
Ginger Snap
P.S. Big love and bigger kisses!
