PIC OF THE DAY!

Even elephants remember to wear their green today! Happy St. Patty’s Day! (taken in the hallway of my building)

TODAY…

1. Thankful for GREEN!

2. Thankful for those two martinis I drank last night. Not.

3. Thankful for great opportunities at work and at home.

4. So very thankful for Monday night’s yoga class.

5. Thankful for sweet kitten kisses!

Good morning! Got about five minutes to write an entry.

CC is leaving for France on Friday, and I can’t wait for him to go. It’s not that it’s a bad thing…it’s just that I’m spending waaaaaay too much energy on whatever this is.

I’m seeing him tonight AND tomorrow night.

And I saw him last night. THAT was especially weird. See, I met him for something of a nightcap at a bar close to his place. I didn’t realize that he was going to be there with some friends, but there they were. And that’s all fine and great because I like his friends. They are all smart and successful and we always end up having interesting conversations. I ended up spending a lot of time talking with CC’s friend Dan because CC was talking with the guy on the other side of him. Like, a lot. It was like he was purposely not spending a lot of time talking with me. A little strange, but not out of line.

But the really weird thing was the couple sitting a next to us at the bar. I noticed them but didn’t really pay that much attention to them. I noticed a tall, kind of handsome guy sitting with a big, pretty, blonde woman. They were drinking and having burgers. No big deal, right?

But when they got up to leave, CC said goodbye to them…well, it looked like he was just saying goodbye to the guy. And then he turned to me and said, “That was [Blondie] and her boyfriend.”

They have an open relationship, and I know that he’s slept with her a few times. And I know that she’s been after him to sleep with her again…before he and I become “exclusive”, but he’s turned her down, telling me that they are now simply friends.

Um. WEIRD, right???

This pretty much proves to me that he’s playing mind games with me. I don’t understand why, if she’s his “buddy” like he says she is, he didn’t introduce us. Why weren’t they talking if they are such GOOD friends? It’s alllllll just too bizarre for me now.

And it sucks because I really simply just like his company. I like hanging out with him. I know it doesn’t seem like it by the things I write here because I try to sort things out on these pages, but we have a great time together…

I’m just looking forward to him leaving for 2 1/2 weeks. I hope to clear my head while he’s gone.

Okay, need to finish getting ready for work. I’m NOT going to get on OD from work, so the mornings are really the time I have to write. But I ran out of time! Drat.
