2010 in Review in Open Diary 2001-2018 (Pre-Prosebox)

2010 in Review
 
January:  After a crappy couple of years, I was so very happy to see 2010 finally here.  I started it off with a body and soul-cleansing 2 ½ hour yoga session.  I was seeing CC and doing some freelance and non-profit work while still looking for a full-time gig.  I’d finally stopped crying about EXMS.
 
February:  Still seeing CC (and not sleeping with him and getting frustrated), and met Crazy Captain K.  Was working the non-profit and attending job council meetings, blogging as freelance work (and getting paid some!), AND got a job offer for the company I’m working for now! 
 
March:  Started working at my new job (BIG HOORAY!), started trying to ditch Captain K as quickly as possible as he turned into something of a stalker, still seeing CC (and not sleeping with him!), made the decision to stay in my loft space for another year and ½.
 
April:  Fantastic Girls Trip that was so good for my soul; [calendargirl] died and I hope she’s resting in peace; messed around with Anthony (aka. The Shirt Ripper) and had some steamy, steamy action (aaah, just what the doctor ordered!) that kind of awakened my senses and pulled me out of my celibate state…and WOW did it ever!
 
May:  Continued my sex streak (heh), but wasn’t really feelin’ it.  Work was keeping me very, very busy and I made some great new friends.  I saw EXMS for the very last time (went to lunch with him), and it was stupid. 
 
June:  Mikey and I called it quits. Was working insanely crazy hours at work (got new responsibilities); still had tons of fun!
 
July:  Life was grand, but work was starting to kick my ass. Though we’d broken up, Mikey and I continued to see each other on a Booty Call basis, leaving me feeling really crappy.  I un-friended him on Facebook and never heard from him again!  Messed around with Anthony some more (yum).
 
August:  Spent a lot of brain energy trying to figure out how to get along with my nemesis, Krabby Kakes at work.  Met SexyPants and was very happy about meeting someone with potential!  Thus began a very hopeful phase that I’m still in, 5 months later.  Interviewed for a promotion within the company (already!); still working my ass off—crazy, crazy hours.  VP guy started trying to have an affair with me.
 
September:  More steamy, steamy dates with SexyPants, and we were off and running!  Because of my crappy luck in the past I did a background check on him that left me confused, but he assured me, even emailing his divorce decree. Took a two-week business trip, starting in Las Vegas (where SexyPants met me!) and ended up all over China (Shanghai, Southern China, Hong Kong….very cool).
 
October:  We sealed the deal and SexyPants officially became my boyfriend!  Worked like crazy; turned 43; had a party at my place; SexyPants met my parents AND invited me to spend Thanksgiving with HIS family!
 
November:  I attempted NoJoMo, but sucked at it this year.  Boo me.  SexyPants and I took a short weekend trip so that he could meet Best Bud—excellent weekend!  Still, let some insecurities creep in…tried to work on it a bit.   Spent Thanksgiving with SexyPants’ family, which was really cool.
 
December:  SexyPants and I declared our love for each other as things just kept getting better and better and better!  I visited his family again for Christmas, met his son, and fell deeper and deeper in love….
 
2010 was a very cool year—especially coming off such an INSANE 2008 (broken engagement) and shitty 2009 (getting fired).  I really wasn’t sure when, if, or even how I was going to work my way past all the negative, but someone somewhere was smiling on me.  I am truly blessed.
 
And now we are in 2011.  I’m very, very hopeful for this bright and shiny New Year!!!  And I hope to document it all.  I was not a great writer in 2010, but I resolve to be better this year.
