Two hundred and fifty days until I am Mrs. Ginger Snap-Pants! Hee-heee! I am getting very, very excited.
SexyPants and I had one teeny tiny stress-out over our guest list over the weekend. We need to send out Save the Dates and we have to cut some folks (or really, B-list some people), and poor SP feels such guilt over making anyone feel badly or left out. But it has to be done. If this is the most stress we have over this wedding (and I think it may possibly be), then we are doing well.
I am nowhere close to having very much done with this wedding. We have the venue and now have a caterer reserved, and we have something close to a guest list, but other than that, here’s what we need:
Wedding. Wedding. WEDDING! I’m exhausted. But I do need to get some work done in addition to planning this wedding, ya think?
Had a really good trip the last few weeks.
Paris was actually quite fantastic. The show was great. Stayed near the Eiffel Tower (in all these years of going to Paris, I’d never seen it sparkling with all the twinkle lights that they started doing at the Millenium). It was dazzling! Though the weather was kind of drizzly, it was still not bad–not as cold as I had expected in January, and people seemed to be in really good moods. I asked an older gentleman if we were on the right train in my very, very broken French, and he was so precious, making sure we knew how to get to our destination. I was completely charmed.
London was great as well. Our South Kensington apartment was in a fantastic location–just not the greatest place to stay in the world. Actually, I loved my little efficiency flat, while Krab Kakes was not very satisfied with hers (long story, and I don’t have the energy to tell). Again, the weather was a bit crisp, but all-in-all, just lovely.
And New York was not so bad, except for the fact that I was horribly jet-lagged. I was able to meet [Charmingly Neurotic] for a cocktail on Friday evening, but after two drinks, I was completely bombed by 8PM and had to call it a night. The next two days were filled with work shows, and then last Monday I had a big, BIG presentation at a huge magazine publishing company (see: The Devil Wears Prada), so I stressed most of the trip getting ready for that.
But all went well and I was home again last Monday night.
No rest for the weary, however, and as I slogged through meeting after meeting and vendors, etc., I dreamt of the weekend which couldn’t come soon enough.
Past weekend was my first one off in weeks, and I loved every second of it. I’m finally over my jetlag (I think), yet getting a little sniffly. I did a lot of exercise with SexyPants (we are both working on our Wedding Day forms!) as well as a lot of lovin’ and sleepin’. Ahhhhhh, what a wonderful time.
Anyway, must tend to some things at the office now. Just wanted to get all that out. More to follow. I AM happy to take suggestions, etc. I’d love to hear what you all have to say about Wedding planning, etc.
Love and amore!
