Hello and happy Monday. I can’t believe it’s almost quittin’ time already. Today kinda flew by even though I’m just not as busy lately as I have been previously this time of year. I am getting concerned that I need to be actively pursuing additional options…
Weekend was near perfect. Consisted of the following:
And now we’re back to Monday. Hmmph. But it’s alright. Tonight I’m hanging out, lovin’ on the cat, eatin’ leftovers. I need some alone time. I’m happy with that.
Tomorrow I’ll have dinner with someone I haven’t seen in years and years. She still works at my old company, and I’m dying to get the scoop. My former employer has been going through HUGE upheaval and I am so curious to hear the latest.
Funny, while I was out shopping on Saturday afternoon, I spied another (different) woman I used to work and travel with in a home decorating store. She’d recently written to me (after years of silence) on LinkedIn, telling me that she’d been laid off from Old Company, and wanted to see if I could recommend anything to her. I wrote her back quickly and told her I’d be happy to talk with her, but when I saw her, I just wasn’t feeling it. I kinda hid…sorta. As if just turning around with my back to her would help. But she never came up to me (and I have VERY noticeable red hair), so I’m assuming she didn’t see me at all.
Anway, I hope to find out the scoop tomorrow evening. And hopefully connect and network in other ways as well. This girl I’m meeting has started a blog that’s getting international noteriety and she wants me to contribute! I wish I’d kept up with my blogging. Funny, I haven’t blogged since I got THIS job. So I’m pretty excited to hear about all of her goings on.
OK. Gotta get out of here for now. Hope to be back with juicier stuff soon!!!
