I’ve said it for years, but I’m still thankful for this place.
Yes, Thanksgiving was lovely. Early (well, earlier than normal…we have more time between now and Christmas) and lovely. I let myself eat whatever I wanted and hopefully got all of that out of my system so that I can concentrate on being back on track from here on out. Not really working…I’ve been doing some cyber shopping (browsing, really) and research.
My parents absolutely adore SexyPants. It’s so funny. And my mom was so sweet about it, telling me that he really loves me after I shared with my parents (in private) all of the things that are going on in his life. I told both mom and dad that I’m standing my ground on the issues where I have concerns, and they were both very understanding and happy to hear my thoughts on the subject(s).
And it’s not that I was thrilled to hear that my parents know that SP has a huge load on his shoulders and he’s looking at an uphill battle and that he is somewhat oblivious to things that I can see from MY side, it was very good to hear that they are completely supportive of my stance.
And like I said in my last entry, SOS was about as good and polite as a kid possibly could be. Sure, I know it’s all a ploy, but still it was pleasant and we all had a fun time.
So. Onward. I’m leaving the office in about 20-30 minutes because it is just too quiet in here. Nobody is around and it is a gorgeous day outside and I didn’t have a ton of stuff that needed to be done. I’m really here because I need to take some more time off for more interviews and I don’t want it looking more suspicious than it already is …AND I’m taking a vacation soon.
I need to focus on that for a bit!! We have a hotel in Honolulu that SP had already booked for the business part of his trip, but we’re expecting to go to Maui for 4 night with nothing booked yet. Any recommendations?
I’m not going to be doing a lot of beachy stuff because (a) I’m a redhead and don’t like to be out in the sun like that for too long, and (b) I am also a pasty-white whale right now. If any beach activity is done it will be more like cabana-y stuff. We plan on doing a lot of walking and hiking and basically enjoying the outdoors and weather without having to expose too much of our chub.
