Oh. My. God. It’s going to be a challenge. So far, three days of back-to-back meetings. Did not break for lunch yesterday – a little bit by choice. Good news is, 2 lbs down from yesterday!
The three women who work for me are going to be…fun? A pain? Love me? Hate me? I just don’t know, but so far so good.
1. Product Manager – knows her shit, but takes 4x as long as it should to tell me. Oh, and she repeats herself over and over and says she’s giving me too many details. The challenge: practice patience.
2. Assistant PM – told me that it’s going to be wild having an all-woman team. I think she wants some testosterone in the house? Hates female competition? The challenge: don’t be what she might consider catty or bitchy (in my experience, people think I’m a bitch when I get in a hurry and stressed), so…keep it calm.
3. Sample Maker – I can’t tell her nationality, but limited English. Does not have email (???). The challenge: make sure we understand each other.
And my boss, Larry has been so busy with two company acquisitions that he hasn’t had any time with me, which is fine at this stage, but not for long.
Co-workers seem very, very cool.
OK. Gotta go! Have worked out, now shower, get ready…and ZOOM!!!
