Correct.
It was indeed Francis Albert Doyle, played by Glen Quinn in the Angel episode ‘City Of…’
The only thing Corbeau forgot was that in between where my quote finished and Corbeau’s started, Doyle sneezed and changed into his demon self.
BTW Polter-Cow, WB did not kill off Doyle, Joss Whedon did.
