I knew there was summat I needed to do today. This. If you recall, last weeks question was:
How many Oscars did Stanley Kubrick win in his lifetime?

The first answer came from SwankyBich:
1..what do I win?? ;o)

Next up was Polter-Cow:
None. Cause that’d be ironic, or something.

Third answer was from Oribeth:
If I recall correctly he only won a single Oscar – for the special effects in 2001: A Space Odyssey

Forth was Cosmic, who said:
I believe that he himself didn’t win any, but for the films he made- spartacus won 3, 2001: a space oddyssey won 1 and Barry Lyndon won 4. so that makes 8.

And last (but not least) was purple_mage:
easy one he has never won any personally his films have won six. He did however collect the Oscar for visual effect for the film “A Space Odyssey” in place of the people that really won it. That is the closest he has gotten. Despite being nomminated – 9 times. I think that is enough info!

And the answer is… 1. Best visual effects for 2001: a space odyssey. To purple_mage: it was the man himself who won the Oscar as the plate on the award was shown on a documentary about Kubrick. To Polter-Cow: if the answer was 0 it would not be ironic, it would be sad.

This weeks question:
Who was the original, real – life owner of the coat worn by the Professor in The Wizard Of Oz?

As always, you have a week.

As always, good luck.

Will (as always)
