Well, tonight’s the night. I’m going to see Harry Potter and the Philosiphers Stone. I’ve seen an ad for it on the telly and it looks fucking amazing. Expect a review tomorrow in my film review diary.
So, what have I been up to these past few days? Not much. I watched the MTV Europe awards. Can someone PLEASE explain to me how J-D’OH beat Madonna for Best female? Pleae? I just don’t understand how someone so untalented can beat one of the best female singers on the planet just now. Also, who the HELL told Craig David it was a good idea for him to cover One by U2? It is a classic. But I did like the fact that the Gorrilaz won Best Dance Act. And Damon Albarn’s comments about the “war” against terrorism were brilliant:
“Bombing one of the poorest countries in the world is wrong.”
That’s why I’m not wearing a poppy this year. I cannot remember all those who have died in the past to preserve our way of life when we are engaged in what seems to be a pointless battle of ironies and sleep well at night. (I’m not sleeping well anyway, but that is besides the point). For more of my opinions on the “war” click here.
Yesterday, had a pretty relaxing time. I just chilled out, watched some TV, and erm, that’s about it really.
So how have you guys been?
Me? Well, I did not get a hug from Girl I Love (GIL) this week. I’m still trying to decide if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
