I started uni again this week for semester 2. How have things gone?
Tuesday: 2 lectures. The lecturer didn’t turn up for the second lecture. The first lecture decended into farce. He read out the seminar times. Asked who wanted to attend which seminar. Then distributed sign-up sheets. Hence, I was well down the list for the seminar I want. And may not get in.
That night I sat at home with 2 friends, drank, got stoned and watched Run Lola Run. Good film.
Wednesday: 2 lectures. One was the same subject as the farce the previous day. The other was Research and Dissertation Preparation. A new module and one you will have seen me express hate for in my next to last entry. I have 2 weeks to decide on a topic for my dissertation and find a supervisor. Or I will be allocated them. My dissertation is a large part of deciding which degree I get (75% of my marks for 3rd year are used to decide this. The majority of that is from my dissertation.) There are no seminars, but there is an ungodly amount of self-study involved (9hrs per week according to the module guide, a figure which I think is vastly short of the mark).
Last night I went to a pub quiz. There was no quiz so we played Trivial Pursuit. The team who got the most cheeses at the end of the night wins. My team won. I am doing the quiz next week. (How evil, on a scale of 1 to Tony Blair, do you think I should be?)
Today: 1 lecture. Had to get up at 9am for it. As I struggled to the lecture theatre, I wondered to myself “Is Learning, Memory and Perception worth this? Is anything?” Then I saw Helen, who also had a class in that part of the building. She gave me a hug. Guess who is now looking forward to LM&P now? :¬)
I also found out that Tiffany is going to pose for Playboy. Yeah Tiffany. You’ve heard of her. “I think we’re alone now”. See, told you you had. Bit of a shock that one.
I’m going to see about a comic, go home, have a shower, come back to the library, do some research, go to the Union Senate meeting, back to the library, mess around on-line, then go and see The Brotherhood Of The Wolf.
See ya later.
Will
P.S. Helen asked if I was going to Blases tonight. When I said no, she replied that she had no reason to go either :¬):¬):¬):¬):¬):¬)
