You may have heard me talk about Julie before in here (try the May Ball entry). Wierd friendship we have. Anyhoo it’s her birthday on Friday. As I’m going home on Sunday, we met up last night for a farewell drink and so I could give her her birthday card.
After the nightclub we went back to Julies so she could drop something off before going to the park to say goodbye to the moon, starts and ducks. (Yup, she is the Dru to my Spike.)
While we were in the house, one of Julies housemates, Lynne, came downstairs to speak to me, insisting that Julie go outside while she did. It turned out that some of Julie’ housemates had planned a surprise early birthday party for her and I was invited.
So I went round at the designated time and was smuggled up to Lynnes room. Gemma (Julie’s rommmate) went to get her and as they walked into the room the three of us left there cheered and we all sang ‘Happy Birthday’. Julie then blew out the candles in her cake and went to get some alcohol from her room for us.
Julie was away for a while so Lynne went to get her. It turned out that Julie was so overwhelmed by what they did for her she went to her room, phoned her mum and burst into tears.
Awwww.
So Julie came back and her three housemates gave her her present ( a necklace with a gorgeus green pendant with Chinese writing on it). Then we listened to music, thge four girls took it in turns to embarass each other and we even played a party game.
And now I’m writing this in my office as I wait for them to turn up in the Union for a drink before they go out. I’m not. I have packing to finish.
