First of all:
Bush ‘as great a threat to peace as Saddam’
A survey has found people consider George W Bush as great a threat to world peace as Saddam Hussein.
The online poll compiled by YouGov found that when asked who was the biggest threat to peace, 45% said the US President – exactly that same number as named the Iraqi dictator.
The poll found 47% regarded America as a bully, and 27% thought it was a force for good.
Just 34% of people questioned said they admired the US, against 54% who did not.
The poll also showed support for Tony Blair continuing to slump amid the preparations for war.
It put Labour on 35%, two points ahead of the Tories on 33%, with the Liberal Democrats on 25%.
The poll, commissioned by the Sunday Times, involved 2,032 adults.

Next one’s for all the pro-lifers out there…
Child rape victim denied abortion
A nine-year-old Nicaraguan rape victim may die because she is not allowed to have an abortion.
Rosa Fletes from Managua is suffering contractions, vomiting, high blood pressure and acute pains even though she is only in the third month of pregnancy.
Health authorities and religious leaders are against her having an abortion even though doctors say it might be the only way to save her life.
But a human rights commission, who evaluated Rosa’s heath, told Clarin newspaper: “This girl’s health is in serious danger, she has a chance of dying if she has the abortion or not.”
Nicaragua’s health ministry says the final decision is down to her parents. but child safety workers claim the ministry has written to all hospitals in the country forbidding them to accept the girl.
Her lawyer Sergio Garcia Quintero said she has been refused in several hospitals including the Military Hospital, he said: “They practically closed the door in her face.”
The suspected rapist, a 23-year-old Costa Rican farm worker, has been arrested.

And finally, I wish this cinema was in Boro
German film fans get to watch first, pay later
Cinema goers in Germany are being given the chance to watch the film before paying and then judge for themselves how much it was worth.
Under the motto Pay Later, visitors to the Friedrichsbau cinema in Freiburg are able to decide for themselves how much they want to pay once they have seen the movie.
The unusual idea for the campaign to attract audiences came from manager Michael Wiedermann and is offered every fortnight at Sneak Preview showings.
Mr Wiedermann said: “I thought it would be a good way to bring in customers for films that otherwise no-one would go and see, such as Bruce Paltrow’s Duets starring his daughter Gwyneth.”
He added that the campaign had so far been a great success.
“Most people are very fair when it’s time to pay. One person enjoyed a film so much that they paid around £10 – more than the cost of a regular ticket,” he said.
