Zero Motivation in Life And Times

I just wasn't feeling it today.  I suppose because it was Monday, I didn't have to apply myself like I do during the middle of the week.  As is the case on Fridays, half the office is gone on Monday, so the building feels like a ghost town.  Hardly anyone is there.  I can half-ass things on Monday and that's pretty much what I did today.  As I also tend to do, I'll step up my productivity tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday.  Friday will be 50-50, as will Saturday.  But as for today, I didn't care and I didn't apply myself at work.

Not long after I left for the day, Gloria apparently brought my a huge bag of Funko Pop! figures and left them in my cubicle.  I didn't ask her where she had gotten them from.  I didn't even ask her many there were or which ones she was gifting to me.  I suppose I remain hopeful that there are some decent ones in there.  She had mentioned some weeks ago that she might be doing this, though I didn't think she would.  I wasn't holding my breath, that's for sure, but it looks like she delivered.  I won't know what she brought me until I return to the office tomorrow.  I'm hoping that most of it happens to be decent and not absolute crap.

I'm not a Star Trek fan, but from what I'm understanding, that recently released series "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy" is not doing the entire Star Trek world any favors.  In fact, if anything, Starfleet Academy is ruining a lot of Star Trek's established lore.  I'm not going to watch any of the actual episodes of this dumb series, but I've watched enough YouTube videos criticizing the series to know that I'm not going to waste any of my time watching the show.  From what I'm understanding, the entire history of the Klingon race was damn near re-written, if not just completely dumbed down with that ridiculously sensitive character named "Jay-Den" and his backstory.  There are more examples of how the writers who wrote this series completely fucked up Star Trek, but I don't feel like writing it all down.  I just don't care that much.  True Star Trek fans might care and could genuinely be offended by this atrocity.  Check out Starfleet Academy if you like, but it might help to keep your expectations especially low, because it is complete and utter garbage.

I'm hoping that my day is better tomorrow, especially at work.

We'll see what Funko Pop! figures Gloria left for me.  I'm hopeful, but I also anticipate that I could be disappointed.  These are free to me, at least from what she told me, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

Star Trek is the latest series of yesteryear to be completely ruined by today's poor writing and this need to pander to whatever the hell the "modern audience" is.  If I happened to be a Star Trek fan, I might be mad as hell with the crock of shit that Starfleet Academy turned out to be.

That's all I have for now.

I might need some Tylenol.  Head's starting to hurt again.
