There's a gentle whisper in the air, that her whole body can feel

The soft sound caresses her ear at first, in moments her heart knows that its real

Her eyes are weighed down by fatigue, but that familiar voice sends her heart aflutter

In an instant, she's awakened, as those words touch her like no other

Her mind is suddenly at peace again, with the familiarity of a soothing lullaby

Tears of joy could overwhelm her, but she would prefer not to cry

Instead she could fall asleep, and drown out the world in a peaceful slumber

Come sunrise, aroused by the power of the spell in which she was once under

In her mind, she tells herself that the cravings are no longer there

But her heart tells a different story, she can't continue denying that she cares

It's a sound, it's a feeling, she knows that there's something missing

She's anxiously waiting for it, eagerly but patiently listening

It's still within reach, she could grab a hold with all ten fingers

She reaches out, but pulls back, but the curiosity still lingers

Patience will dictate her response, but will time be on her side

She can't dodge those raindrops, just like her feelings she can't deny

There's no fire in sight, but she fears being overcome by flames

The voice she longs to hear again, shall cascade down on her like a warm summer rain

She's apprehensive and reluctant, fearful to take a chance

But the storm will soon subside, yielding a gentle rain in which she can dance
