Recently we moved. Just a few blocks away, actually fairly close to another house we owned when we first got married.
But that’s not the story here................
The house we now own had been vacant for several months. After we moved in we noticed that the previous owner had left some things. This is not unusual, and in this case there was a nice cowhide couch and chair that looks really good on the sun porch.
But we missed a few things that were left in a guest bedroom closet. A few days ago I dug three packages out that apparently were left on the porch, yet found their way into the house. I attribute this to maybe a realtor who didn’t want to leave them on the porch.
But here’s the kicker...... The packages were addressed to the house next door to ours. The addresses were one-digit off. And each package was dated about 6 months ago!
Now the neighborly thing to do would be for me to trot these packages over to the rightful owners. But these people have pretty much ignored us since we moved in.
Soooo....... I waited until dark and carried the six month old packages over to their front porch and left them. I don’t really even care if they have a security camera as our houses are fairly secluded and they don’t know me anyways!
Imagine that.......... Six month old packages appearing on the front porch.
