Up at 4am, which is fine with me.
I have three bananas that have to eaten today, so it will be banana smoothies for breakfast. I’ll have a big lunch at a Beijing restaurant for my ‘meal of the day’. Yep, planning out my day by restaurants and other places I will visit, that’s what my life is like here.
I had a few suggestions in the comments of my YouTube channel, which is great, so I am planning to visit both. Today is one: A public market that I had never heard of - Longhua public market 龍華市場. Should be interesting to wander through with my cameras.
The other is an old golf course that was converted into a park. I honestly don’t know what is interesting about that. (Is it interesting because it is new?) But there are a couple of old tombs up that way which I think will make for a good video too. (And interesting as they are from the Japanese colonial period.) Huang Qingyun was one of the “Five Tigers of Yancheng.” I can’t find any reference to either of those things online, so it is certainly worth the trip - I hope there is a plaque.
