Breanna had a birthday today.  Morie has a birthday tomorrow.  I sent Breanna that obligatory "Happy Birthday" text message this afternoon.  I'll be sending Morie her birthday text message tomorrow.  I don't think I have any other November birthdays on the horizon.  I've never been the type of person to hype up birthdays anyway, not even my own.

It rained today, for the first time this week, after it had been forecasted that the rain was actually supposed to come down this past Wednesday.  It wasn't even cold on Wednesday.  In fact, temperatures reached the high 80's earlier in the week, as well as through Wednesday.  Definitely nothing you would expect or even want during the month of November.  The current storm, if I can even call it that, is supposed to run through the weekend and possibly into Tuesday.  We shall see.  As I write this, it is raining, so that's at least progress, albeit minimal.

I managed to get in a few games of Battlefield 6 today after work.  I really am of the mindset that I'm getting better at the game, to where the game is much more enjoyable than it was weeks earlier.  Sure, I die all the time, but now, I'm also getting kills as well, so in some way, now there's balance.  I die.  I respawn, regain my bearings, and kill an enemy or two.  Repeat.  It's all pretty routine.  I'm just not dying as frequently as I had been when I first started playing and learning the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 released today.  I'm not playing it, but I believe that Jay decided to give it a whirl just to see what it's all about.  I made the decision months ago, actually not long after Battlefield 6 was officially announced, that I would sidestepping Call of Duty this year in favor of the latest Battlefield game.  So far, I've been very pleased with the product that Battlefield 6 is.  I haven't heard from Jay yet, as far as his impression of the newest Call of Duty game.  My immediate thought is that if the game were that stellar, that amazing, he would have voiced his content to me hours ago, like early in the morning not long after he woke up.  Being that I've haven't heard from him, I can assume that the game isn't as great as he may have been led to believe.  Then again, there's also a chance that he didn't get a chance to check it out, which for him would be highly unusual, being that he has all the time in the world at the moment, since he's not currently working and his foot is messed up.  Regardless of Jay's opinion and his apparent limited mobility, I think that it's going to be a tough sell for me, being that I had sworn off COD months ago and I've since taken the plunge into Battlefield 6 already.

I'll be working tomorrow, as I do nearly Saturday.  I still have a lot of work to do, as it is, so I'll work at least four hours.  I'm really hoping that it rains tomorrow morning during my commute to the office.  I don't know why.  Then again, I think it's because I wouldn't mind taking that slow, leisurely drive to the office in the midst of whatever rain happens to be falling at that early hour.  In some way, I'd find that to be especially comforting.  Call me weird that way, I guess.

That's all I have for now.

Birthdays.  Rain.  Battlefield 6.  Black Ops 7.  Work.  Yes, I live a fairly mundane life.

It's fantastic.
