I brought down the enormous space heater I haven’t used in about 10 years and remembered why I was disappointed in it: it looks like a real readiator but barely radiates any heat:
I wrote part of my French homework. For the rest, I will actually have to watch the first two episodes of Greek Salad. It is not as bad as L’Auberge espagnole but is still pretty bad. It’s not due until Wednesday, but one person has posted her response already, and she did a very good job, so I will have to put in some effort also.
I got a check for $53 to offset the Criterion streaming service’s having sold my data. I was only a member for a few months, so this is a profit.
February’s when they post the invitations to grade AP exams, so I’m waiting for that email also. My chair was so uncomfortable last year that I wriggled around constantly, which might have given the table leader the impression that I was inattentive, but I wasn’t. Also, you’re supposed to be a current teacher to do this, and I’m really not. Still, I hope I get asked again. It’s in Cleveland, which is a cool place, I think.
They posted the course listings for the summer semester, and there’s nothing offered in French or German that I’m interested in. So I’m thinking. It’s free, right? (It is, because I’m a senior auditor.) What if I did the online basic Spanish class? I think I’m going to do that.
