I truly don’t need much. Access is more important than ownership.
We’ve got the back of the truck half loaded. Two bed platforms and some Ikea chairs that have been taken apart. On the weekend we went up to Home Depot and bought a big roll of plastic and some tape. Last night we wrapped up the mattresses. I think they will fit. But I’m wondering why we need two beds for a one bedroom place. (Probably because we have two extra mattresses.)
I was thinking about sunk costs and how much extra stuff I have. And I was thinking about all the furniture I have left behind. I was wondering whatever happened to my old desk, the one I painted blue and red and then a few years later painted black, and then took to Ottawa. (I left it in Ottawa, I suppose at the last place I lived.)
We have two extra mattresses because the kids didn’t go away to university. I could have gotten rid of so much stuff.
