our sudden backtrack into cold wet winter weather really is getting tedious. Yes we needed some rain but this constant drizzle and going on and on and on. I was half way through painting an outside garden table just before it started two days ago....cannot complete the job and its so frustrating. Also I want to gather a few of my flowers for a project. Esme gave me a lovely flower press for my birthday back in August, and I am unable to do that as well despite my garden filling up with colourful blooms. I have hopes of creating cards and maybe do some collage of flowers onto things,- some years ago I did that and its fun.

Even though it has been too wet to get the lawn done, R&A came over for a visit this morning which was lovely. Helped break up the day to have some company and they are always good value…besides one of them usually does my lawn when they visit. They often take a nice beach walk while this way as well....not so today. And according to the TV forecast this rain is set in for a couple more days yet.

Oh well, moaning won’t stop it!

I have become a bit bored with my viewing binge of Virgin River too…watched heaps though....right up to the wedding. I was particularly fed up with the female lead as found she was too needy and selfish emotionally despite having to work through her ‘issues’. All the actors were good though, especially NZ Martin Henderson…hard to believe he is just a little older than my Reuben, as I recall the start of his TV career as a teenager. Crikey that makes me feel old!

Anyway, that’s enough of my ‘first world problems’....the real world outside of NZ deserves attention too, especially the Middle East situation, and I am wondering now that Hamas have agreed to return their hostages whether things will really improve, or even if Israel can be trusted to return the thousands of their Palestinian hostages held in their prisons? Wondering also if the flotilla crews will be deported home and what will happen to all the supplies they had on board. Hmmmm. I am not holding my breath for a just resolution to any of it so time will tell. Thats enough of that!

Tomorrow I will visit R&I and the kidlets as per usual....G&G will possibly be going a bit stir crazy stuck inside all weekend too…they are really active outdoor kids.

Not much else to mention right now as I’ve been doing very little myself…started watching the series of Our Oceans on Netflix, narrated by Barack Obama ( gosh I love that man’s voice!)....think I may look at the next episode or two this evening. I was planning on having fish for my dinner tonight but changed my mind, couldn’t stomach the thought after watching that smiles

I cant’ be bothered with TV as right now its either Rugby or Cricket on my channels and I am not a fan of professional sports....too much corruption and too competitive for me. I do enjoy watching surfing though, and sometimes a little basketball/netball.

I get the feeling many of you enjoy sports, and right now are possibly glued to your tv news reports anyway as not many writing here at the moment.

stay well everyone, and take care,
hugs p
