4) Fannie
Fannie would be the second of two assistants who are assigned to my work group. If I had to guess, I want to say that she joined the work group back in March or April 2025. I'm estimating, because I genuinely do not remember. While I don't recall when exactly she became part of the work group, what I do know is that I was not thrilled when I first learned that she would be joining us. I didn't care for Chortle when she first joined us. I still don't care for her. Several months later, the powers that be decided that every work group in the office needed a second assistant. Why would I be excited that the work group was now going to have a second assistant when I didn't give a damn about the first one that was assigned to us? Chortle is useless. By default, Fannie is also useless.
Fannie is a lot younger than Chortle is. I'm still bad with ages. I don't know. Fannie might be in her mid 30's, maybe early 40's at the most. Now that I think of it, I don't even know why I'm going into Fannie's age or going through the effort of estimate it, because in the end, it makes no difference to me. Older, younger, it does not matter. Fannie remains useless.
Fannie isn't outright terrible like Chortle is, but because she is just an assistant (a departmental position that I don't care for and believe is utterly useless), I already don't value her in any capacity. She's just sort of there. I don't ask her for any kind of help and like Chortle, she is of no use to me.
Gurney and his clique all utilize her and think that she's great, but I don't buy it and I'm never going to. I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Fannie is useless.
