Four hours in Mississauga in Book Two

A perfect Autumn day today after yesterday’s day of intermittent showers. I sit on the front porch in my hoodie and crocs and watch all the neighbours walk by with their dogs, one after another. Midsized dogs I notice, 40, 50 pounders.

And I am feeling very content today, after yesterday, a day in Mississauga. Mom was staying overnight near the airport, waiting for her friends to join her for their trip to Europe for another river cruise. 12 in the group, combined age of over 1000, hurting in the places that they used to play.

We drive in behind rush hour, go for lunch and then a short walk through tropical plants in an arboretum, drop mom at the airport and drive home ahead of the rush hour. Traffic is heavy. It’s always bad now that everyone has to be back in the office at least 3 or 4 days a week.
