The last several days have been hectic, but in a good way for once.
First, I got the monkey off my back and received my driver’s license. Finally felt good to do that, now the next step is getting my own car.
Then after I thought all was lost when no job would get back to me, an archaeology company wanted to interview me. Despite not having the best interview, I was hired on Friday. Need to still get drugged tested and sign some paperwork, but hopefully I can start by October.
Like all archaeology jobs starting out, you work a part-time, on-call basis. But I think I can get decent work and I’m willing to go anywhere (especially because they will pay for your flight and hotel).
The dream is still to get as much money as possible to save up for a Europe 2026 trip, although I may have to push that into February. Just have to hope I get rejected from grad school application and get my mother off my back.
So, at the moment, things are starting to look up.
