George Peppard’s character on the A-Team used to say at the end of every episode, “I love it when a plan comes together.” It was his by-line. It’s mine too. I love it that it is now September and I am putting my plan into action. My plan is coming together.
The plan is a simple one. Load up the back of the pick-up truck with the basics for a one bedroom apartment overlooking Okanagan Lake, drive out west, close on the new condo, move in, live there for a few months and then jet off to Taiwan for the winter. In the spring, fly back from Taiwan, live there again for a few more months and then decide what to do next. maybe stay, maybe come back to Ontario for the summer.
I would really like to move to the new condo, lock, stock and barrel, like the Beverly Hillbillies. But with so much momentum in Ontario, so many moving parts, two extra family members and all the stuff, I have to have a three year plan. So the above is Year One. Putting the ball in play. Because an object in motion stays in motion and an object as rest stays at rest. I rested all summer. Time for some motion.
