There are two great sci fi series out there in my eyes, Star Trek and Mass effect (Star wars has basically fallen off a cliff, a lot due to the "Fans" but its just not as fun for me)
Ive liked star trek for about 30 years, starting with Voyager, I dunno why I started to watch it, but I have always liked the optimistic view of the future, I like the aliens (my favorites are the Cardassians, and to a greater extent the dominion, They are great bad guys, and Weyoun is great) There aren't many big sci fi style battles but when they do have them they are memorable. All the series are good, I haven't really watched Discovery though, I should I have heard mixed about it. DS9 is probably my favorite, followed by Lower decks. (I love Tendi, she is so wholesome) There are a -few- cringe episodes but they are usually just in the vein of early TNG and TOS. I also think i'm one of 10 people who liked Picard. (season 1 was cool season 2 started great but by the end it was just fine and season 3 was just nostalgia train) and finally SNW is equally good with great crew members and fun stories.
Anyways, thats about it, if anyone who knows me should know my number 1, if you dont know me you have no idea what my number one is.
