Hey everyone! Just a quick update on what’s been going on behind the scenes:
- Better monitoring: I’ve added improved error tracking to help us catch bugs earlier and make it easier troubleshoot when things are reported.
- Redirect issues: A few of you have reported being sent back to the homepage when trying to view bookmarks or comments. I haven’t tracked down the root cause yet, but I’m keeping an eye on it. (This is where the better monitoring came from.)
- Mobile fixes: There were some formatting issues on phones - those should be fixed now.
- Server upgrades: The site’s backend got some updates to help things run faster and more reliably.
And a few things coming soon:
- Ad layout changes: You might notice some tweaks to where ads appear as we test different placements. Ads are automatically placed, but we’re still fine-tuning things to keep the layout balanced. We don’t plan to overwhelm the site. As always, subscribing removes ads completely if that’s an option for you.
- Updated sign-in pages: The landing page, sign in, and create account screens will get a small facelift soon. Nothing functional is changing, but they’ll look a bit more modern. Just a heads up in case they catch you off guard.
