Today was the first day of the new school year for my son. Everything seems to have gone ok. It’s took myself out to TJ max Home Goods. The one near me is always dang busy. I got there 10 mins before opening and went to just stand on the sidewalk. By the time they opened up there were at least 25 people waiting outside the doors and more in their cars. Crazy. I haven’t been over here in awhile because I don’t really need anything from here and just always find something to buy. So they were rearranging the whole place and there was a lot of empty shelves. I managed to still find about 120.00 worth to buy lol. I found a few things on my list though.
My son got offered a job two days ago and he goes tomorrow to fill out paperwork I think but if he needs certain clothes and shoes we don’t have anything like that so we will have to find some. I felt bad this start of the school year because I didn’t buy him a new book bag or a bunch of new clothes. It just is what it is. Everything I tried taking him he wouldn’t give any input on being remotely interested in anything so I gave up. He got like 2 new t-shirts and two new hoodies. New socks. The rest of his stuff is honestly pretty fine. His grandma got him new shoes like a month and a half ago and I did get him a new pair of Nike’s so whatever. I don’t think he really cares. Which is fine. I’d like to find him some new jeans at least and maybe a nice top for school pictures.
Anywho I shopped for about an hour today and then ordered chicken salad chick for pickup and had that for lunch. I talked husband into taking us to the mall for dinner and they were busy there too. I picked up a book my son needs for AP English. They didn’t have any copies and he needs to read 5 chapters by Monday. He did tell me she gave out a pdf of it but he doesn’t like reading pdf’s. Which ....I can’t blame him but whatever.
