Lay of the Land in scarlet_dragon

I’m still trying to get the lay of the land around here but all things said it’s nice to at least see more people around and not pages of spam and tumbleweeds that blow by like OpenDiary. Shame because I started that diary back in about 2004 so for it to look like it’s going to probably not last much longer is sad again. But this can kind of be a new start. I do see that I was trying to transfer over OD stuff back before it originally was getting shut down so I think I might just erase all that old stuff. I may just download all my OD stuff and file it away.
The last few years I spent on there just seem like a lot of complaining and not moving forward with anything in my life. So I’m not sure I need a reminder of that all the time. Sure a diary is a great place to blow off steam and just get things out of my head, but lately it just seems to be the same story over and over.
We shall see what becomes of all this.
Summer break is winding down here my kid starts back in 11 days. Crazy. I’d be lying if myself and my husband weren’t glad because my kid has just been wondering around “bored” for weeks now. His attempts at finding work didn’t really go anywhere. My husband keeps saying before the end of this school year will be over he needs to have a job secured. I’m like he needs a job secured here in a few months in my opinion.
We decided that we aren’t going to get him covered by car insurance until our new car is finally available. So we at least have a few months probably to save up some more $.
I started onto Remarkably Smart Creatures. Im only like 15 pages in but so far it’s been ok. I sure hope that it holds up because I’d like to actually enjoy another book again lol.
Other than that life chugs along. I did 35 mins on the walking pad today. What I think is crazy now about 5+ years ago running etc would make my heart feel like it would explode out of my chest but now it doesn’t feel like that but my legs are cramping up within 2 mins of trying to even start a jog. So I have no idea what the issue is with my legs. If I need to see a PT or what.
